Brave try but not for us

Easy to find. Access to the site is limited with two units able to block the entrance for those already on site and looking to return after a trip out. Needs rethinking. The site has a wow factor which is not matched by the wardens. If the CMC is seeking a new image, it needs wardens who can live up to that image. Landscaping is poor and the site looks overcrowded. Moving around site to find or return to a pitch is not easy because of the tight design. Pitches near the main Reception/Bistro block suffer from noise such as the plant room so best avoided. One toilet block has been updated and is OK. There is a smaller block in the main building. This really does have a wow factor, resembling the facilities in a modern gym. More of this type please! There is little information in the spacious Information Room - actually its a corridor. We ate in the Bistro one night when it was just over half full. The service was good, the prices reasonable, and the food was excellent. Given the volume of negative comments, we were really surprised to have such a good experience. We would still prefer to go to a local pub though - the nearest one had no food on that night. With a better entrance layout, more landscaping, dynamic wardens, consistently high standards in the Bistro, and fewer pitches, it might be for us. For now, its too flawed.
