Bad attitude....

We arrived at Knaresborough CCS recently around closing time for a stopover while returning home from a delightful three week tour of the Scottish highlands. We were told that all hard standing pitches were taken, but we could have a grass pitch which we gladly accepted. The problems started next morning when we were ready to set off for home. We had become bogged done. I went to the office to ask management for a pull out, and was told this was not possible. They did not have a vehicle to do this. They suggested national breakdown services who might/might not enter a private site. I asked if they knew anyone locally who could do it and was told no. I suggested a local farmer but was told they would not allow a tractor on the site because of the damage it would cause. It was suggested I try and find a 4x4 vehicle was on site and request assistance. This was the only option left for me, which I duly did and was pulled out by a friendly fellow club member. This unhelpful, negative and 'couldn't care less attitude' by management is a disgrace. Upon arrival we should have been informed that the grass pitches were soft and given the choice. So, fellow Club Members, beware of the Knaresborough CCS soft grass pitches....
