This is the first time we have been to this site, we arrived on Friday 8 July just after 1pm and were greeted by very friendly wardens, we found a hardstanding pitch, as all that we could see, was quiet spacious and backed onto the bridleway behind us. As we have 2 small dogs the bridleway was great for taking them for a quick walk in the morning/pm. The site was very clean and tidy and just a short walk down the road (turn left out of the site, cross the main road and continue left) was the entrance to the Nidd Valley walks, we walked through the woods and into Knaresborough, the paths didn't seem too muddy (protected by the trees) and the walk was very good, took approx 40mins - great for the dogs. We would definatley return to this site and stay for a bit longer and walk along the valley into Harrogate, not too far, I think some people were staying at the site and then going to visit the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate, a great conveinient base to be in. We will be back.
