If you're into mountain walking, magnificent scenery or a great driving experience this is a perfect base. The drive through Applecross and Glen Torridon (without the caravan) is possibly the finest in Britain. The site is an absolute gem. The wardens are friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area (and beyond). There is no WiFi on site but there is television reception for the main channels, BBC and ITV via booster cable. There was mobile reception for at least EE, can't speak for others. The village has the basics but then you don't come here for supermarkets! There is also a garage and two cafes. The Wistle Stop cafe serves really good food. We had an evening meal there and thoroughly enjoyed it. You can take your own wine; they charge £1.00 for corkage and glasses, I have to say, it was worth it, the food deserved the wine!
