Met the midges

We visited the site as part of our n c 500 trip. We did east to west so it was the later part of five weeks, the site is maintained to the highest standards by the very cheerful wardens. We had not come across the dreaded midges until now (we had done well) however for three nights and mornings we encountered the little beggars. How anyone can live alongside them I take my hat and net off to you.

hi , as new motorhome owners we are looking to tour Scotland extensively...do you have any advice re travelling the narrow roads , esp to Applecross. Our motorhome is approx. 6.3 meters long.

also seeing you are from derbyshire ..any esp good ones nearby

bye the bye... we encountered the dreaded midges for the first time last year...after 20 years of holidaying (B&B) in Scotland ...seems nothing deters them ...they are on a reproducing mission ..at our cost!!!
