A gem of a site

We booked Kinlochewe because the roads to it are good for towing (A832) and we wanted to use it as a base for exploring the area. However, we ended up spending quite a bit of time doing great walks in the Ben Eighe nature reserve which is right next door. The site is lovely, small and friendly and the staff are really friendly. The layout is good too, we had a spacious pitch with stunning views. The petrol station right next to the entrance has a lovely little cafe in it which serves great coffee and provides free wifi, we started most days in there. It is really peaceful and relaxing, there are birds everywhere and it's just fabulous. On our last night another caravanner got out his bagpipes and played them for 15 minutes. The sound echoed round the mountains, it was magical.
