This was uncharted territory even for a Scot until an extended Easter break meant 3 nights at Kinlochewe. The scenery en route and then the backdrop of Beinn Eighe and Slioch at the site itself is awesome. Recommend the Mountain Trail from the Beinn Eighe NNR car park (approx 2 miles West of site) and a walk along the North side of Loch Maree via Incheril (approx 0.5 miles East of site). For the less adventurous there are sufficient level trails accessible immediately from the site. Plenty facilities locally including shop(s) and the Kinlochewe Hotel's public bar welcoming and offering a good variety of ales and food. Wardens very welcoming and approachable too. All in all 5/5 and we're looking to return.
