My favourite site
I love Low Park Wood, the site's original name, and have been visiting for many years. The shaded woodland glade layout is lovely, though I recognise that not everyone likes that.
The ruins of the New Sedgewick Gunpowder Works are extensive and of interest if you like industrial heritage. Information on the remains is available on site. There are lovely walks direct from site, both along the River Kent and through the woodland of the Sizergh estate.
The wardens were friendly and helpful and the facilities clean and well kept.
We were grateful that the site wi-fi has been fixed.
We will be back!
