Exceptional site
We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. When enquiring about the history of the site we were signposted to the information room where there were leaflets about the history of the site. We were also informed of a national trust guided walk that takes place on a Friday afternoon every couple of months for a cost of £3. We met the guide Sue and had a wonderful and very informative walk of the site and were told of its history as a gunpowder mill. Well worth doing and would do it again.
The walk up to Sizbugh castle was easy even though we stayed on the road and didnt walk across the fields. The farm shop is within easy access but is ver6 expensive.
Will definitely be going back and will stay longer next day.
