Exceptional Site

The peace, the beauty, the river, the trees, the location, the cleanliness, the maintenance, the people (staff and fellow visitors), all were, with out exception, superb. All that prevented the perfect 5x5* was the issues I had with the Internet - not I suspect anything to do with the Kendal Site - come on C&MC please get your provider to get their act together! The local Dairy Farm Shop a few minutes very pleasant stroll across the countryside was also exceptionally fine as was the National Trust's Sizergh Castle and gardens. I had booked my Pitch, 129, as a stop-off on the way from the very fine Abbey Wood Club site to 'wee' Iona in Scotland, and also again as a stop-off on my planned return journey a few days later from Iona to Ellesmere (Shropshire's very own Lakeland - also worth a visit!). Too often we say, "I'll be back", - in this case I was so pleased with the Kendal site I did not drive any further - but stayed and enjoyed what I had reached - very much a case of "a bird in the hand being worth two in the bush!" ... By the way, the morning chorus of bird song at this Club Site was wonderful; it extended right through the day to way past sunset! BLISS. Many thanks to everyone - it was a wonderful break - just what I needed.
