We have been to Kendal Club Site in the late Autumn last year and again in May this year.  It never fails to please.  If you want peace and quiet this is the site for you.  If you want to feel like you are wild camping in a woodland glade, with a stream trickling past your door and every conceivable bird you can imagine, singing in the trees, this is the place. Go out of school holiday season and it is virtually an adults only site.  There are playgrounds for children and of course, the woods to explore, but it feels more like an adult place.  The average age when we have visited seems to be somewhere in the mid to late 50's, but that is only our perception. We will return time and time again to this wonderful site.  So if you haven't booked yet, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
