The approach road if you can call it a road is abysmal full of very deep potholes and very narrow and dangerous as there is no barrier between the track and the fast-following river! if you like the overwhelming smell of garlic from the wild garlic plants that are everywhere then you might be happy, some of the pitches are extremely small and very untidy. The was emptying facility I used was out in the open and covered with leaves and flotsam from the surrounding trees. We had booked for two nights but only stayed one that was enough, so we left never to return.

There are some potholes, I agree, but nothing a decent driver cannot navigate. There is something stopping you driving into the river, it is called a steering wheel, same as navigating any narrow road. Although the wild garlic is quite strong at times if you had stayed it varied from place to place and also different times of the day changed the strength of it. We found the pitches suitable for what they were needed for... larger pitches for larger units and smaller spaces for smaller ones.
We loved it, so many wonderful walks and with the accessible river and many crystal clear streams it was stunning. We will be back.
