We were impressed by the warmth of the welcome and the friendliness of the staff at this site. It's a great site for dog owners, though because we don't have a dog we did find it a bit noisy at times! The site is so different from any other we have stayed on because of the woodland setting and the vast expanses of gravel between pitches, and it's very hard to get a pitch that's not under trees with the inevitable extra noise on a wet week, but all that said we rather liked it. All the facilities were kept very clean, and the natural feel of the site together with lots of good walks, both short and longer, was pleasing. The approach road is a real mess, with some very deep potholes, and it takes some navigating. To be honest, our main concern at this site was the speed at which some members drove round the site, showing little concern for others. This is not to do with the site as such, except the layout perhaps encourages faster speeds.... so more signage perhaps? We will probably return as its convenient for us.
