Site set in trees near river

I don't want to criticise this site at all because in truth there isn't that much wrong with it if you like this sort of site. We thought it would be handy as a stop over on the way back from the highlands of Scotland. However the access road is very narrow and the surface very uneven so care needs to be taken driving up the lane. The pitches are in little glades sort of if they had grass on them instead of hardstanding and the site is on different levels with there being some quite steep slopes to drive up and down. You are in the middle of woodland so it can be quite dark. The river running by is really lovely and there are some nice walks. If you go in school holidays be very careful because children were racing down the hills on their bikes with great gusto and not worrying too much about who was in the way. For walking it is lovely and handy for Kendal and the other lakes and to be honest it is no better or worse than any other site in the area. After all it isn't called the lake district for nothing and most sites seem to be in trees. I think many people will love this site, its handiness to many places. The staff were friendly and kept the site nice and clean but sadly not a site for us.
