Short Local Trip

Just a short drive to this site for us, but never been before. A good 6 nights stay, we did have storm Hector whilst there, so plenty of debris about on the roads , caravan and car, but must admit the wardens did a marvellous job clearing up. We were aware the site is in a national trust woodland so we were prepared for not too much sun, plenty of trees, some picthes better than others. The site is a minefield to find your way round , nooks and crannies, so hard choosing a pitch really as it's quite large too. Good wardens and well stocked shop. Good walks from the site by the river. Short walk or drive to Strickland Arms, good food and 10% off for CAMC members. Sure we will visit this site again maybe early spring, late Autumn, when not expecting sunshine and also wanting a short journey.
