Peaceful Location
We stayed at this site recently for a weekend, it was our first visit. The site was very easy to get to and although access road is narrow, there are passing places but It was very quiet on the site so we did not encounter any problems with access.
The wardens were helpful and friendly and the pitches were easily accessible. It was a lovely quiet site with walks directly from the site itself. There is a pub in walking distance where you can get meals from and a farm shop for fresh supplies with a cafe. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast one morning.
The shower and toilet block were well maintained and very clean. There were many places to walk your dogs so long as they are on the lead. We didn't have any children with us so not sure about entertainment for the children.
Kendal is very near for grocery supplies but there is a small shop for basic supplies on site. There is a fish and chip van that visits the site on a Friday tea time which was very nice.
A very nice visit and would certainly go again and would recommend it to others to try especially if you like the peace and quiet of the country side.
