This was the first time we had visited the Kendal site and were suitably impressed. The site is set in fabulous woodland and the pitches are in small groups so even though it is quite a large site you get the feeling that you are virtually alone. We picked a pitch at the top end of the site in an area that only had about five pitches. My mistake in selecting pitch 26 because it doesn't get any sun at all and we found ourselves almost in the middle of the area to get the last bit of sun for a BBQ. Not a fault with the site but one of our making by not checking the pitch out first. Kendal is a haven for dog walkers with plenty of walks off the site. A little tip even if you have a Omni Directional TV aerial take a booster cable with you (you can buy them onsite for £15) as you will need it as the signal is weak.
