My family & I have visited this site many times within the last 5 years. For us it is perfect; lots of wildlife & birds on your doorstep, lovely walks from the site, a river with paddling area for the kids to fish with their nets, Pub, Farm shop & Tea Rooms a short walk away, 10 Min drive into Kendal city centre for shops, restaurants, etc. Something for everyone!  The site wardens have always been very accommodating & friendly, more so on this occasion where we had booked a pitch without awning, without realising, which is a disaster for us, as we have a small child with push chairs, etc and a large boxer dog to house. The wardens, tape measures at the ready, were marvellous and went out of their way to help us find a pitch that would allow us the luxury of our much needed awning.  The showers & toilets are immaculate and the site is well kept. The office will take your daily newspaper order, a must for a well deserved sit down and glass of wine. All in all highly recommended, we used to come here before the little one came along and enjoyed it just as much as a couple as we do a family.
