Not very family orientated
We were looking for a lazy weekend where we wouldn't have to seek out extra entertainment or do much. Sadly this wasn't the case, the play park is a bit naff to say the least. The club Wi-Fi was next to useless and tv reception is terrible (even when we plugged into the site aerial). I know it the lakes but it really was appalling.
We paid for a serviced pitch and I wish we hadn't bothered. The tap is further away than a length of standard hose (the people next to us just about got theirs to fit but it was taught. They went a bought another length the following day), same thing again for brown water. So I ended up dragging stuff about, which is a bit annoying when you've paid extra not to. The pitch itself wasn't great either, I ended up borrowing a load of levelling blocks. Result was that it took ages to get setup. Not great with 2 small hungry kids.
Confusing signpost on away in almost sent us up the wrong road. It's narrow so that could have been a nightmare.
On a positive note the information room is good so we were able to find something to do away from the site.
