Shame about the selfish owner who kept leaving his dog out from 7am to bark until we left the site about 10am. Spoke to warden so did other people but he didn't want to know and said there's not much he could do about a dog barking there's no rules on this issue! Site was clean and tidy considering time of year and recent floods they had experienced. Dated toilet block but clean tidy and heated. Small woodland and river walk from site you can walk into Kendal about 3 miles away but bridge was closed when we stayed due to flood damage. Strickland arms pub is short walk along country lane is a must food was lovely worth the money. Take a torch for the walk back.
