lovely and peaceful site, loads of walks, the dogs loved it swimming in the shallow river nearby, the wardens are very friendly and helpful, and the little shop is very well stocked, and they do a great cream tea. All the pubs around are very dog friendly, our favourite pub was the Wheatsheaf in the little hamlet of Brigsteer, just 4 miles from the site, the Stricklands pub is also very nice, just a short walk from the site, and members get a 10% discount, we will be revisiting as its a great site and easy motoring to the lakes.
