We visited this site last weekend for 2 nights. Although it is under the trees we had no complaints about the pitch (thought there would be lots of midges but didnt notice any). The facilities were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is a great site for dogs as there is a river and woods by the site (our springer loved it). There is also a nice easy walk by the river (about 3 - 4 miles) into Kendal, we then got a taxi back at a very reasonable rate which was recommended by the site staff. We will go here again
