Location superb
This is the second time we have been here. The first time was some years ago and we were given a pitch next to the bridge which was noisy during the day and very small. This time we got a much larger pitch but on one of the main roads which meant, yet again, we experienced a lot of traffic with people walking up and down all day. I will try and get one of the more secluded pitches next time if, and when, we go.
We came here mainly to try out our caravan after six month storage. However, we did spend time walking in the adjacent woods which we enjoyed enormously and it was nice to see families doing the same. One day we were privileged to see a large stag feeding on the vegetation. It didn't seem to bothered with us and stayed for around ten minutes, so we got some fantastic photos.
We both thought that the special arrangements in place because of the pandemic were well implemented and in general adhered to. Some people still don't understand what social distancing means but this is the case wherever you go, I'm afraid to say.
Would love to bring my grandchildren here but we'll have to leave that for the time being, too risky.
