Late Summer Break
Just returned from a 5 night stay. The site was brilliant lovely woodland pitches in little cul de sacs. Having 3 large dogs we chose a pitch at the back of the site near one of the many dog walks. A little bit of a trek to the toilets but having walked round the site numerous times I have a few favourite pitches for next visit. Also the history of the gunpowder factory added to the ambience.
The wardens were great and friendly sharing gravy bones with the dogs. Very helpful when we had an issue with the car ringing local garages. We visited especially for the Tour of Britain but found more to do in the area than we had time for. Definitely another visit coming up.
