This was our second visit to this site which is in an ideal location for either the Lakes or the Dales. Last time we explored the Lake District, but this time went into the Yorkshire Dales each day. We enjoyed the the woodland paths on our early morning dog walks, the wardens are extremely helpful and the whole site is kept spotless. One negative point is the road humps (as mentioned in another review). One other downside was the lighting leading from the one loo block late at night. I was returning from the block at 10pm, and I had foolishly forgotten to take a torch. One of the lights on a junction of the paths was not working and I somehow managed to go down the wrong track. It took me about 10 minutes to get my bearings, but for a woman, in a dark wood, in total darkness, at 10pm it was quite scary! I reported the faulty light to a warden the following warden who promised it would be fixed.
