Fist time this year

I have to say I always look forward to visiting this Club site. it is one of my favourites on the network due to the fact its so unique and surrounded by wildlife in every direction. On arrival the Site wardens welcomed me in their usual friendly and helpful manner. She explained that the site was in fact full and their was only 1 pitch available (of the type i had booked). This was no issue and i made my way to the pitch. The only drawback about Kendal is that some of the pitches are quite hard to reverse onto. The key is to take your time and have as many goes as you need. Once set up I took in the fantastic wooded site... something I had really missed. The local pub has changed a little since I last came and seems to be aiming more at the gastro put audience. Not really my thing but still a nice pint to be had! Just up the road from the site is a lovely farm shop that sell lots of local produce, cheese, pies, eggs and beer. They Also have a RAW mild machine for toes like me who love to buy unpasteurised milk direct from the farm. You are able to buy hot food and breakfasts from the farm as well. The site was a good mixture of solo caravaners, families and couples of all ages and the children playing on site were extremely respectful of others. This site remains one of my favourites and I can not wait to return later in the year. Covid procedures are in place and everywhere is very clean with the wardens going around during the day cleaning the touch points in the toilets / laundry etc. (Thank you for your continues hard work guys!).
