Feels like a Canadian National Park site
Generally quiet site spread around a National Trust wood 4 miles from Kendal. Pitches in clusters. We chose the top left corner (South West) pitch 29 and it was spacious and quiet. Lovely circular walks up to Sezergh Castle and beyond, and easy flat 4 mile each way walk into Kendal along the river and (partially filled in) canal towpath. Clean washrooms and helpful site teams.
