We absolutely loved our stay at this site apart from a couple of issues, which are probably down to bad luck! 1. Overnight roadworks on the A591 dual carriageway which kept me awake most nights to the point that I'm now sat at work exhausted (that's not the club's fault, but might be worth checking the Cumbria Council website for any roadworks nearby) 2. Crows. A sheer abundance of them. No doubt partly down to the neighbouring pitch's desire to leave bird feeders outside (why do people do that? The young birds need to learn to scavenge!). The crows were appearing in the early hours, making a right old racket and attacking car wiper blades when there was no food to be found. I suppose if you've been on the gin all night it probably won't wake you, but it work me. I also had to buy a pair of new wiper blades after the crows ripped them off. Sigh. Other than those two issues, it's a fantastic site, but we probably won't be back.
