This was another Club site that I really enjoyed staying at. The site is very picturesque and just full of wildlife. Pitches are well spread out. Most of the pitches are in small cul-de-sac style layouts. Their are also some individual pitches. I was on 101 (levelling ramps needed but a very nice location). I like the way the site makes the most of the space available with very little impact on the established trees and wild life. The approach road is narrow with passing points, although if you stick to the departure and arrival times you should be ok. If your running early Burton-in Kendal services have ample space for caravans to wait, as does the lay-by just off the M6 motorway (J36) on the A590. I arrived at 13:15 and their was a bit of a queue to book in but this was no problem. The local pub (10 minutes walk) offers 10% discount to club members on food orders. Its very rustic and a bit dirty but does have a lot a character. dogs are allowed in so makes a nice walk from the site. Back at the site you have the usual good facilities with two toilet blocks and two laundry rooms. their is also a children's play park. A very nice site and I look forward to visiting again.
