I wasn't a great fan of the site layout but it is located on a river which is nice and has an interesting history. What I did like though was the organisation on arrival, despite covid it was handled brilliantly. Also, it's location is great for visiting lots of places easily. Walk to Sizergh Castle and the Strickland Arms, plus the wonderful farm shop near Sizergh. Cycle to Oxenholme station where you can catch a train to Windermere, which we did and also to Kendal, Carlisle and even Scotland! Cycle to Grange over Sands which is a lovely resort. In fact, we weren't there long enough to get to Kendal with so much else to visit!
