A good site

This site is quite large but due to its layout you do not get the sense of being in a large camping community. The layout is of groups of pitches in copses around the National Trust Wood area. This also means that you do not get a lot of traffic past your pitch as there are various routes around the site. The pitches themselves are well serviced but are probably the smallest I have come across (for awning pitches anyway). We have a T5 & Vango Kela and this really pushes the width limits of this site. It fits, (just!) but if you are late you may get one of the smaller awning pitches which could be a problem.  The site facilities are excellent and well kept and the environment is just stunning, lots of trees and birds and a real feel of being close to nature.  The road in is single track with passing places. As a result departures and arrivals are strictly managed to avoid large units passing. Everybody is required to leave by 12 on day of departure, no exceptions. Nearby there is a good Farm Shop and the Strickland Arms pub both about 20 mins walk away and both worth going to. We've been before and will return. This is a nice site
