A beautiful site
We have just returned from seven nights at Kendal and it was far better than anticipated and a wonderful base from which to explore the Dales and surrounding areas. The pitches are split into groups amongst the trees and well spaced, a lovely river flows along the boundary and I was not aware of any road noise or other disturbances - totally relaxing and we had sunshine too!! Lots of walks leading from the site and information and maps provided should you need them.
No issues with our pitch, level and everything worked as expected. TV signal was non-existent but the site information warns that this is poor - so we thoroughly enjoyed a week with no TV. We didn't use the Fish and Chip van either but it is available on a Friday evening. Didn't have any issues with any of the facilities and there are two toilet blocks so there is always one available for use. We don't have children but there is a play area - not sure how good it is - but the few children I saw seemed to be having a great time riding around on their scooters and playing in the wooded areas. Wardens were helpful and welcoming and had a sense of humour!!
We did not book a servied pitch because of the information in the handbook pointing out the need for a longer pipe than may be the norm. Definitely one of our favourite sites and we will return.
