We used to have a static caravan at Skelwith Fold near Ambleside and we stayed there approx. 30 times a season for almost 10 years,so we know that part of the Lakes very well. This was our 1st stay in Kendal and we are pleased that we chose this site. The park is quite a size and well spaced out,we liked the little secluded areas which the more you explore the more you come accross.We visited 29th March to April 1st and we got the equivalent of a months rainfall in four days, but that's the Lakes for you. As usual the site facilities were spot on and the staff were very helpful and friendly,particularly the lady from Whitley Bay,welldone to you ! The site will be a fantastic place to visit when the trees are in leaf,especially near to autumn, when we will probably re visit. Great walks from the site and loads of places to visit by car. Kendal is a good sized town with plenty of pubs and a good selection of shops. The Lakes are a very special place which we never tire of visiting, we are looking forward to a return visit to Kendal
