Lovely Site (in off peak season)
We received a warm and helpful welcome on arrival and had plenty of choice of pitches as the site was pretty empty. This turned out to be a good thing as many of the pitches were quite sloping (to the degree our ramps couldn't cope) so we had to try a few spaces before we found a good one. We stayed on the further field and really enjoyed it as it was very open. However, we noticed that in a few places the rows of pitches are 3 rows deep so in a busy period you could be effectively surrounded by vans/caravans.
The facilities were modern and well looked after, and there's plenty to do in the area - coastal walks, walking to Cromer (although probably not possible at high tide), steam train from Sherringham and the Shire Horse Sanctuary nearby. We had a couple of meals at the Village Inn which we really enjoyed and took the train a couple of times as well. We also headed to Blakeney Point which we felt was well worth a visit. Overall we had a great stay, but we would think carefully before booking during peak season.
