What a wonderful site. Fabulous wardens - couldn’t be more helpful. There are some great views from the pitch if you are lucky to get one of the pitches with a view. Great location. Walk to East Runton is nicer than the walk to West Runton. From East Runton it is a short walk along the beach to Cromer. The crab from the small stall just as you arrive in the town was excellent. You can then walk all the way back to West Runton ( subject to tides) and to the site. Golf course next door never looked very busy. Excellent fish and chips at East Runton (shuts at 7.30) where you can go and eat by the sea wall or in the car park overlooking the bay - be aware there is a height barrier to this car park. Holt country park is superb, for £2 you can stay all day and if you explore beyond the confines of the park the footpaths go for miles. Holkham Beach is ok, but campervans and motorhomes Cannot park in the beach car park - you have to park up by the house and walk back - have no idea why they have brought in that rule. Slightly further out is Burnham Overy Staithe where you can park on the small riverside beach and watch the world go by AOTA walk to the sea with wonderful sand - quite a trek for little ones though. Ice cream van visits the site every day around 4 and travels all round the site. If you want a holiday by the sea, with some attractions for children but also a rat for adults, then this is hard to beat. We will definitely be returning.
