Despite the storms overnight the other weekend, we can't wait to be back this weekend. We are a tricky 'set up' with VW camper + little caravan but Sarah is amazing at answering my numerous anxious 'newbie' questions. On arrival last time (late due to dreadful traffic) - Helen & Trevor were wonderful - welcoming tired travellers and setting us up on our pitch. If you have a new Winterhoff tow-hitch then Trevor is 'your man'. We could not work out how to unhitch it - Google revealed it to be a nightmare for other 'newbies' too. Thank you Trevor for rescuing us!!! I love this site: it's quiet with beautiful natural areas set-aside for wildlife, a fab enclosure to let the dogs go crazy & generous grass pitches. If you need facilities & entertainment this is not the site for you. If you love simplicity & tranquility in a natural setting then it's perfect. PS my 5 star rating for "Facilities and cleanliness" relates to cleanliness - you need to have your own facilities to stay on this site.
