Nice site

We booked the site on an off chance after a weeks holiday in Devon, on arrival we came though the barrier instead of waiting in the marked bay I apologised for this but felt the male warden was quite sarcastic in showing me the size of the info board, the lady that booked me in was very nice but I explained that I had my old membership card on me that ran out end jun but did not have the new card on me as we booked on the off chance, she reminded me 4 times to carry it with me at all times, also make sure we drove slowly around the site 3 times which I advised her the first time we always do. Dog walk or as we found out no dog walk - when we asked about a dog walk we were told that they did not want dogs walked around site they would have to be taken out on the road which I must add was not suitable for walking dogs, however they did have a dog wash on site?  I would like to know if this rule was set by the site or the wardens. I have heard of members complaining about certain sites and wardens but until visiting this site I had not experienced it. Very unlikely we will visit again which is a shame because it's a very nice site but found the male warden very sarcastic even when speaking to my nephew.

Comment from The Club:

Many thanks for leaving a review. The wardens have been in touch as they would like to address the concerns you have raised. Firstly, The Caravan Club asks wardens to always check membership cards when members arrive on Site. If they are out of date the wardens ask if the member can please bring their new membership cards with them next time as we need to ensure visitors still have valid membership in order to be able to stay on the site, or in the case of sites that accept non-members, receive the £10 a night reduction in site fees.

Also please be aware there is not a dog walk on site so members are asked to walk their dogs off site and not around the site, as per all Club Sites that don’t have dog walks. Please note however, that there is a dog friendly beach within a 15 minute walk. Directions are given to members who enquire and information on walks can also be found in the information room on site.

I hope this helps explain and addresses your concerns. Thanks again for leaving a review.
