We usually go sailing past Burnham on Sea on our way from the Midlands to Godrevy in Cornwall but this time due to the road works on the M5 junction 2 we decided to set off later and stop somewhere. Hurn Lane looked just the ticket as it was about half way. It was far nicer than we thought it would be being so close to Weston Super Mare. The staff were friendly, the site nicely laid out with a small dog loo area which was kept spotless by everyone with dogs. The beach - WHAT A BEACH. It was AMAZING. Not far to walk from the site and easy to get to. The views to Wales and Devon were not what we were expecting at all and the miles and miles of firm sand. Even cars and motorhomes can drive on it!!! We were gobsmacked and weve been on a lot of beaches all over the country and most of them have been beautiful. Really liked this site. Up to the usual standard of Caravan Club and in such a nice quiet spot. Maybe in summer it wouldn't be quite so quiet as there are lots of static vans surrounding the site, but mid week October it was wonderful and it is somewhere we will visit again and again
