Such a shame.

Such a shame we had to cut short this holiday because of the constant noise coming from the "Council Run" site next door, with motor bikes/quad bikes/cars being rallied around their site all day every day, you could not even read a paper because of it, it was crazy! The Wardens did their best to try to stop it and left a note in the information shed to tell everyone what was going on and they had complained to the Council about it. Not the Wardens fault as they did a great job at everything else and were very good and nice to talk to but we will not be returning!! Even the noise from the main road seemed to be much louder than last year with large trucks thundering past the site at 50 mph at times very early in the morning, and we were pitched further away from the road than last year? Such a shame that this once great and quieter site is being allowed to be spoiled for so many people. Never again!

I was very sorry to see the serious problem you had with noise from the adjacent site as reported today.  I have stayed at Hunters' Moon in the past, though not since 2011, and am booked for later in the year, and there was never a problem during my previous stays. My research tells me the site was council site has been there since 1976, so has something changed? You will see that another member has reported the noise problem this month, but I note there is no mention of it in earlier reports from June.  I will certainly contact the site to learn the current situation before deciding whether to cancel. Many thanks for alerting me to the situation.
