Play area - lesson learned
As is our experience with all sites, Hunters Moon was well maintained and run with very efficient and polite staff. It’s ideally located for trips into the beautiful Isle of Purbeck and surrounding area. Our only gripe was that as relative beginners we and our pitch-neighbours made a mistake of choosing a pitch that was near to the children’s play area. This resulted in incessant noise, bikes being ridden across our pitch, the road being used as a parking space for abandoned scooters, bikes, helmets and the like plus a complete lack of privacy from the children hanging out by the entrance to the space as well as playing ball games in the road. We noted that the parents of the children were all on pitches well aware from the playground (sensible)! Maybe it would be worth advising those without children to avoid such pitches? Some well placed picket fencing could also stop encroachment.
