We were first time visitors to Hunters Moon, as in the past we have always gone to Wareham Tourist Park just a mile up the road, which, to be honest, we think to be better mainly because you can access the forest without the fear of being mown down along the road which is generally used by fast traffic. The tourist park also sits further back from the road and doesn't have the council site next door so is much more peaceful and quiet. That said, we were on the grass pitches (102) and when it was quiet it was very nice and peaceful and our pitch was great for the afternoon sun. It is a park ideally sited to visit the likes of Bournemouth, Swanage, Weymouth, Poole etc. etc. though car parking charges have rocketed since we were last there. As with most sites the wardens were friendly and helpful and, as to be expected, the facilities were as good as always, though I do not understand the thought behind not being able to use the showers (I know its Government Guidance so no fault of the Club !!) All in all not our favourite Club site but that's a choice thing rather than it being a 'bad' place.
