Another return visit but not so sure for the future.....

We have visited this site over many years and many times each year but I find I have to put this review in as it has tainted our opinions of the site or should I say the warden, it definately spoilt the end of our stay. Firstly the C19 advice and rules at the washblocks were good and we felt correct to keep persons safe. But there were some gatherings at night in awnings that were up to the 6 persons but no social distancing was adhered too and also the noise of loud banter was not acceptable. If this had been children or teenagers I am sure the old folks would have complained. The incident that spoilt our break concerns the actions of the warden. If you are not aware the site backs onto a council run caravan park. A small little black dog from the council site has found a gap in the perimeter hedge/fence and visits Hunters Moon. On our last day we saw the warden throwing stones at the little dog to try and chase him away. My wife did go and see him and told him his actions were cruelty to the dog and he should stop throwing stones. He replied that the dog comes into the site all the time and that he had tied it up before until the owners had come in and collected him. Surely the easiest thing to do is to repair the hole in the hedge/fence and stop the appalling spectacle of a warden throwing stones at a little dog! Not sure we will revisit this site again even though it is one of our favorites. As a footnote, the mobile phone signal and internet coverage for our phones is non-existant and something you should think about if visiting this site.
