A very good site

We stayed here in July 2022 for 4 nights, giving us an opportunity to visit some of the locations in the Dorset area, such as Bournemouth, Poole,Swanage and Weymouth. All are within a 30 min drive from the site. Wareham town centre is just over 5 minutes away in the car,so the site is a good location if you're wanting to visit these areas. The site is clean and well maintained, including the shower and toilet blocks. Staff were friendly and helpful although we had little contact with them as we had no issues whilst we were there. We stayed on a grass pitch which was fine as we were in a period of hot,dry weather. There is an area to exercise dogs both on and off the lead. There is a pub nearby but it was very rarely open during our stay due to staffing issues, on one of the days it was open they weren't serving food. The area is poor for mobile phone signal, including 4G/5G. The club WiFi was not much better. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and I would certainly stay here again.

Lovely Jubilee weekend

The site is immaculate and obviously loved by the wardens who are all hard working and friendly I can’t fault this site at all. The wardens are putting in such an effort to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. As it was jubilee there were things going on including a raffle for charity and a quiz set up around the park. The site is well kept clean and well laid out with everything easy to find the information hut is excellent, We pitched on the grass pitches which were quite spacious and quiet. This site is in a great location for visiting Wareham, Corfe Castle and the Dorset coast. During our stay we even went on a walk around Wareham forest where we spotted several deer as well as heard the cuckoo calling The dog walking area on site is great and the off lead area is also good for them to run after a ball. I do not stay on club sites often as I prefer CL’s but I have no concern about returning back here again sometime soon

Fantastic Jubilee Weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend, the staff are really friendly and work tirelessly to keep everything clean and up together, this is one of the cleanest sites we have been lucky enough to stay on, lots too see and do and some lovely walks nearby, one piece of advice the ground is quite hard so you will need some sturdy awning pegs, we had rock pegs and bent each one

Most Enjoyable

We recently had nine nights at Hunters Moon and it’s the best the site has looked in a long while, the wardens were very hard working very welcoming and warm and friendly, makes a big difference they worked such long hours The facilities were very clean and well kept We found the railway station and bus stop just a five minute drive away most useful with buses to Poole and Swanage, we also caught the train to Weymouth there is so much to do and see in this part of the country we highly recommend it

Superb!

A great first time caravanning experience with the family. The team were very welcoming and the site was immaculate. The kids loved the play area and the meadow walk. We even went on a 3 mile walk from the site around Wareham forest where we spotted a number of Round Leaved Sundews and Common Darter Dragon flies. The walk included the local pub (which is now family and dog friendly) on the route where we sampled the local Ales before heading back to relax in our awning. We loved it so much we returned the following weekend and were not disappointed.

Full marks to a great on site team

Stayed at this site over May bank holiday weekend and it is a credit to the site team and the effort they are putting in to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. It is well kept and clean and the information hut is excellent , well laid out with everything easy to find. The location is perfect for trips to National Trust sites plus coastline with Wareham Forest on the doorstep. For dog owners the fully fenced in dog walk with two poo bins is an absolute winner.

First Time Camper-vanner

So pleased I picked this site for my first ever solo camper van trip. I stayed fairly local in case I messed up big time and could just go home. But I need not have worried. From the minute I pulled up, and told the girls at reception I was a total novice, they went out of their way to make sure I was ok. I had booked a serviced pitch, without realising I needed rock pegs, which I had left at home, but had bought grass pitch pegs, so they moved my pitch (which I preferred). They left me to it, but walked by at regular intervals to see how I was getting on, with putting up the awning, and connecting all the gear up. I asked them quite a lot of questions and every time they answered and helped show me what to do. As a woman on my own,[my sister was with me but purely as a spectator!], I felt safe and so proud I had achieved my first trip without disaster. The location was amazing and they keep the site absolutely spotless - everywhere. They work very hard. And they came out to say goodbye when I left and congratulated me which I thought was so lovely of them. Top marks and a big thank you to the girls and Graham at Hunters Moon. I will be back ha ha!!!

A Gem of a site

Normal typical high standard as you would expect, nice a relaxed and quiet (even considering it was Easter and nearly full). What I hadn't appreciated was what a wonderful little corner of the country it is. Wareham Forest on the doorstep with the cycle trail and walks. The beautiful countryside around Corfe Castle, Lulworth with places to park up just take in the views. Poole and Sandbanks, always something happening on the water there to watch. Weymouth and Bournemouth for the more traditional beach holiday. I'm sure there is much more but we ran out of days, definitely be booking to go back! The only slight negative, the no awning pitch next to the WC block looked very cramped and wouldn't personally be somewhere I'd want stop for a holiday (fine if it's just an over night stop over)

Brilliant

Have just returned home after 4 nights at this site, and it is one of the best sites I have ever been to. All of the staff are friendly helpful and approachable. The toilet facilities are lovely and clean no matter what time of day you use them which in my opinion is a must !! I will definately be returning, open all year round is a bonus as well. Had a lovely chat with Dawn when we were checking out, really didnt want to leave. So local for loads of places and some lovely walks in the close vicinity of the site. So well done Hunters Moon team and thankyou x
