Very Hilly Location

We arrived on Easter Saturday after battling through Paignton traffic. Staff were all incredibly helpful and pleasant and smiley. Full of information. We were told to go find a pitch and let them know where we had decided ASAP (pretty standard for CC sites). We chose a pleasant pitch with sea view. Location was at the top of a hill so wherever you went, you had to go downhill, which meant coming back, uphill! Great if you have a car! We had electric bikes, so easy for us, but if you're not used to walking, you're going to struggle. We ventured down to Kingswear higher ferry and went across to Dartmouth. 50p for pedestrians/cyclists. £4.50 single per car or £8.50 return. We caught a boat up to Agatha Christie's house which is now owned by National Trust. £10.50 each to get in. Free if you are NT members. Back to the campsite, there was an outdoor swimming pool, bar and clubhouse, restaurant and shop. The toilet block was clean and had everything we needed, showers, wash up facilities etc. All in all a lovely weekend. I would recommend this site for caravanners. For motor homers, beware of hills!
