Hillhead
Another good stay at this site, the usual warm welcome and a nice pitch with a sea view.
A few differences since our Autumn visit. The motorhome service point has been moved to the area near the playground and recreation area, still a longish drive round for some but a grid has been installed making things easier.
The shop has more camping/vanning accessories for sale and less food space but still a good service.
Approach roads via the back of Paignton have yet more road widening works so expect delays, especially through the summer.
We enjoyed our usual bus trips down to Kingswear and the passenger ferry to Dartmouth. Plenty of shops and eateries to enjoy, our favourite for a coffee and cake is Saveurs (dogs welcome) very tempting French patisserie, savouries and bread. We also took the ferry to NT Greenway, lovely place to visit, tasty cream teas and attractive gardens surrounding Agatha Christie's interesting old home. All easy to reach from Hillhead on a short stay.
