Hardworking Wardens
We were here from Sept 3rd .The wardens were working extremely hard to manage a difficult situation caused by adverse weather. My understanding is that motorhomes such as ours were on grandstanding because of the constraints 're towing if stuck. The site is in a wonderful situation we were on the lower level and from the galley window we looked across the valley, red devon cows with their calves were grazing.Wonderful in the early morning mist or evening sun. There are lovely walks excellent bus links and lots of things to do.The swimming pool was heated to a comfortable temperature and the shop is convenient. The wardens were courteous in the face of some rudeness from a minority of members, perhaps these were the same users who left the facilities in a mess.
I can understand some people were frustrated and even angry but really there is no ideal solution to a problem caused by weather and the wardens do have to maintain the integrity of the pitches for the rest of the long season. We enjoyed our stay and will visit again.
