Agree - it's not difficult to do a bit of research and if the price (which you know in advance) is too high look for an alternative - in that particular area you're not exactly short of choice. 

The point being that at £39 it's way overpriced, and not that great a site.

Possibly, but we've never been there and certainly aren't likely to. But it is a very popular site so many folk are obviously happy to pay that price.

Perhaps it is overpriced if you don’t want all the extras provided at HIllhead but, if that’s the case, why go there?

How did you pay £39.00 a night? I've put in loads of dates, & haven't come close to it charging £39.00 p/n….
