Just returned home after 6 nights stay at Hillhead, third time I've been there. The wardens work tirelessly to ensure the site is maintained to the highest standards and they always appeared cheerful. The only thing that spoilt things were the other visitors some of whom were absolute throbbers. One chap executed a three point turn (with his caravan attached - I kid you not) driving over and across other pitches where caravans were parked nearly taking out a lighting bollard in the process and then drove around the site in the reverse direction just to reach a pitch. I observed 2 other visitors, one with an excessive sense of entitlement, address the wardens as if the wardens were their personal servants. The persons in question were members of the club not non member visitors and why do some folk still refuse to pick up the mess their dogs make? There are adequate numbers of bins around the site. Rant over.....I would return there for another break but in the meantime will practice my own three point turns!
