We have stayed on this site several times before and this is the second time over Christmas. Our stay was seven nights over Christmas and from Hillhead it was easy to take a day trip on the ferry to Dartmouth (either parking in Kingswear or taking the bus down) and a drive to Totnes for another day trip. We didn't take the option of Christmas dinner in the clubhouse, preferring to make our own dinner in our caravan but plenty of other people seemed to have taken that option. The shower blocks were well cleaned, warm with plenty of hot water; the wardens helpful and friendly. A half hourly bus stops outside the site for a trip into Brixham. Cafes and pubs were open around the harbour on Boxing day, which made an enjoyable walk from Berry Head and return to walk off the Christmas excess. There is plenty of parking at Berry head although it is pay on exit arrangement. We will certainly visit again.
