Inconvenient cleaning times

Spent two nights here recently, a pleasant open aspect site within easy walking distance of Henley and the river. Wardens were very welcoming and it was very refreshing to hear them say that they were not particularly bothered about pegs on the pitches as long as you park somewhere near the the middle - perfectly sensible for a medium sized Campervan. We have marked it dowN due to the amenity cleaning regime, 10.30 to 12 is very inconvenient for campers particularly as the offsite time is 12. This leads to a rush around 10.00 and I can imagine some queuing in the busy season. It needs to be re-evaluated for the benefit of the customers. Nevertheless a recommended site and would visit again

That’s pretty standard cleaning times for club sites, Mikey. It’s done so the wardens are free to deal with new arrivals at 1200.

I assume the stance on pitching to the peg was due to the site being quiet as normally the rule has to be upheld to maintain minimum spacing for safety reasons.

What suits one does not suit another. Those times are absolutely fine by me, in fact ideal.

In the wintertime this site is run by 1 couple so the morning cleaning is a normal practice as the staff have to be available to book folk in the afternoon also from friends of ours who are winter staff they have a less hours than the main summer staff.
